Andrew Watt (72x108).jpg    Andrew Watt (Managing Director)

Andrew joined Lightstone in early 2007 from Nedbank Business Banking where he was Head of Strategy and Marketing.  Prior to that Andrew spent 5 years at McKinsey in Johannesburg and London where he specialised in financial services, retail and operations.  Andrew also worked for Spoor and Fischer where he focused on patents and trademark law and was a graduate trainee on the Unilever Management Development Program.  Andrew has a chemical engineering degree from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Finance and Entrepreneurship).  Andrew leads Lightstone's work with its banking and valuer clients.

Royden Volans joined Halls Investments in June 2011 from ABSA where he was Head of Credit. Prior to ABSA, Royden spent over 10 years specialising in risk and customer management consulting to the financial services industry, during which time he also started a successful risk management business. Royden has an MBA from Oxford Brookes University (UK) and is currently the Commercial Director at Lightstone.

Paul joined Lightstone in 2012 from PIC Solutions in Cape Town where he managed the Business Analytics division. Prior to that Paul spent just under 6 years with TransUnion specialising in credit risk consulting and predictive analytics while building up the Corporate Analysis team. Paul also worked at Brolink in the insurance administration arena focusing on management information and actuarial rating. Paul has a B.Com Insurance Science degree with a post graduate in Econometrics from the University of Pretoria. Paul is currently the Head of Analytics at Lightstone.

Nicky van der Westhuizen joined Lightstone in late 2011 to head up the legal and human resources functions. Prior to that, Nicky was a partner in the employment law department of Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs, and had been with ENS for twelve years, practicing as an employment attorney and specialising in all aspects of the law that are employment related. Nicky appeared regularly on behalf of her clients in both the Labour Court and Labour Appeal Court, and represented a wide variety of corporate and multinational clients. Nicky has co-authored a book CCMA for Managers and has a B.Comm degree from the University of the Free State and an LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch.

Vanessa joins Lightstone from Ariba where she was responsible for the management of all Operations and Services within the Africa region. Prior to Ariba Vanessa has held positions at Standard Bank, the First House, SuperGroup and Solit Interactive, across various senior management and executive management positions. Vanessa has gained a reputation for effective turn around and organisational development drive. She has an MBA from Unisa School of Business Leadership and  is Lightstone’s Chief Operating Officer.

John joined Lightstone in early 2011 from KPMG where he was Senior Manager in the Office of the CEO. John spent over 7 years at KPMG, including 2 years in London on secondment. John specialised in consumer markets and infrastructure from an auditing perspective. John has a B. Comm in Marketing Management from the University of Stellenbosch, where he graduated cum laude, and a B. Comm (Honours) in Accounting from the University of Cape Town. John is a CA (SA) and is the Chief Financial Officer of Lightstone.
